Hey,

Angela
ahhhh you win angela!
yes i did buy it... i felt i had to. i passed one by in wisconsin last year and have regretted it since then. i don't know where the 'original' went. i was talking to aunt fran and she has a little one like this from john's mom. let me know if you would like this one. i am not sure what to do with it but had to buy it anyways.... crazy hormones. i feel so much better just having a picture of it.
Angela and Lynn,
I remember that exact same tapestry too. Ahh, the good old days on the farm...Did you find any of those old dressup clothes too?
:) Hope

i remember those dress up clothes! they were candy for our imaginations! i remember there was a pink lacy one and a dark navy polyester with white polka dot one. i know that there were others... for some reason they escape me. i am not sure where those outfits live in the real world. i never keep my eye out for them at the antique markets. for some reason i just notice the furs and funny hats. can you imagine wearing a fur with eyes on it? i got a real ladies fur collar for zoo zoo kitty at a garage sale. he luvs it so. he is wearing it in the post 'is zoo zoo ready'. he normally wouldn't wear it.... it is for playtime.
i remember looking at this tapestry in the living room sometimes and being suprised that there was a door behind it. i would think about it over and over. would grandma and grandpa have had it if it wasn't for that door? i probably spent more time looking at the big picture frame with all the family pictures in it though. i have my eye open for some cool frame to start up one of those at our house. my walls are kinda bare and it is time to get some nice frames and pictures up of everyone!
Lynn,
Funny that you mentioned "the door". I spent many days as a youngster on that sofa in the living room wondering where it led to and why it was blocked off. It always seemed a bit mysterious to me. I too remember the picture frames and since have started my own wall of memories. Ahh..memory lane. Don't ya just wish you could go back in time to those carefree days on the farm. I bet the polka dot dress would look great on my girls.
:) Hope
